The school, Vivekananda English Academy (H.S.), itself an anecdote. It had been founded by a pious couple namely Sri Tarun Banerjee with Smt. Anima Banerjee with a pledge to educate the new generations of this locality and the neighboring areas through English medium in the year 1998.

After the inception of the school the founders faced a lot of difficulties that stood in the way of success. Initially only with 50 enrolments the school began to run. Individual efforts without any help from the outside they ultimately reached the summit with crown of success.

The recognition from the Govt. Education Cell (W.B.B.S.E.) was bagged by them but it up to Junior High Section (up to class VIII) in the year 2005. In the year 2007 the then new born babe bagged the recognition of full grown man. The school got the legitimate right to register their enrolments itself.

On seeing the performances and infrastructure of the school the H.S. Council gladly responded the appeal of the school for up gradation (Class XI-XII) by conferring recognition in the year 2012 with three streams (Arts, Commerce & science).
